Debra Stephenson is announced as MKBAA Compere
Best known for her starring role alongside fellow comedian Bradley Walsh in Coronation Street, and more recently in the BBC’s The Impressions Show (with John Culshaw), Debra has had a colourful career spanning television, radio, stand-up comedy and charity performances since 1998.
“MKBAA is thrilled to announce Debra as the compere for this year’s awards and we look forward to being thoroughly entertained by her charismatic comedy on the night,” said Dr Philip Smith, chair of MK Business Leaders Partnership (MKBLP).
The awards, which will return for the third consecutive year on 10 March 2016, are organised by MKBLP, in collaboration with full service marketing agency Interdirect and event management experts Evolution Live.
“So far we’ve had BBC Breakfast presenter, Bill Turnbull and war correspondent, Kate Adie presenting the awards, and it is great to have another well-known and much loved name on the MKBAA stage presenting the prestigious awards.”
“We can promise Debra, and our guests, another great evening as she helps us recognise and celebrate the best of business in Milton Keynes, in the glittering surroundings of the ballroom at the DoubleTree by Hilton,” continued Philip.
The closing date for stage one entries is 30 November 2015. Applications will then be reviewed and approved for stage two, which will require further details to be submitted by 20 January 2016. The judging process will then commence and a final shortlist of businesses announced.
